West Union, located within the Campus Center at Duke University, is a dynamic hub housing 13 unique restaurants, meeting spaces, workspaces, cooking class areas, and more. As the heart of campus life, West Union embodies the energy and spirit of Duke University—a vibrancy that the campaign materials needed to reflect. To achieve this, REVERED was hired to lead the effort.
When I joined REVERED, the project was already underway, and I had the privilege of stepping in to help carry the concept through to completion. Collaborating with designers, a video team, and copywriters, I contributed to the successful promotion of West Union’s opening (now known as the Brodhead Center). Our campaign included environmental signage, social media content, animated videos, bus wraps, a microsite, and a promotional package.
A highlight of the project was partnering with renowned screen print artist Bill Fick. Inspired by Duke’s iconic architecture, a custom screen print was created and used for a massive hanging poster and on-site screen-printed t-shirts and tote bags. The live screen printing added an interactive element, allowing attendees to take home a piece of the Duke experience.
This campaign not only celebrated the grand opening of West Union but also captured the innovative and dynamic spirit of Duke University.
